Illbient anthem. The term is an oxymoron. Although I wasn't that into illbient at the time it was happening (despite being an electronic musician in New York city in the late 90s) I think the concept is ripe for a re-evaluation.

Did I listen to classic illbient albums before recording this one? No.
Just one more layer of irony. One band that was on my mind and one I was keenly aware of in the mid to late 90s is Seefeel. That marriage of guitar experimentation and electronic grooves is another avenue that still has blocks left unexplored.

This album is indebted to the electro-harmonix 720 stereo looper pedal.
